What Are the Technical Features of the Observation Elevator?

In large-scale shopping malls, high-end commercial buildings, even high-end residential buildings, observation elevators have been applied in different degrees, which not only greatly facilitates people's lives, but also provides a good vision.

The observation elevator can be driven by traction or hydraulic pressure, and its selection depends on the lift height and the hoistway conditions of the building to a large extent. Due to the high requirements of the operation quality of the observation elevator, the frequency control or hydraulic drive mode is usually adopted. High speed of observation elevators is not required generally, because passengers generally want to stay in the elevator for a while to enjoy the scenery outside the elevator.

The speed of the observation elevator should be lower than that of similar objects, as long as the speed is not too slow to affect the vertical traffic in the building. The car area of the car observation elevator consists of two parts: the passenger area and the scenic spot. The passenger area is adjacent to the elevator hall door, and the scenic spot is usually located at the back of the car.

The novelty of the observation elevator lies in the use of transparent viewing curtain wall in the car viewing area. Before designing the observation elevator car, the designer should consult the relevant building codes to understand the requirements of the codes for the use of glass materials in the elevator car and hoistway. During the design and installation process, the transparent viewing curtain wall shall not be used as a bearing part or a structural part.

The cover of car top and car bottom must be firm, but it must be light and easy to replace at the same time. The design shall ensure that the exterior decoration surface of the car is not damaged due to repair work, oil pollution or excessive lubricant.
