Key Elements of Buying Home Elevator

The choice of the number of elevators is mainly determined by the estimation of passenger flow.  Accurate analysis of different building passenger flows requires a large amount of statistical data.  This is not currently available. Different designers tend to make estimates based on their own experience. Here are some precautions for buying home elevator.

1 . Speed selection

Increasing the speed of the home elevator can shorten the average travel time and improve the service level of the elevator. It depends on the level of service required by the building and the height of the building itself. The increase in speed may result in a significant increase in the cost of the elevator. For residential buildings, multi-storey homes generally only consider 1m/s elevators.  The tower of 10 to 16 floors or the plate type considers an elevator of 1.5 m/s. The elevators of 2m/s are considered on the 16th to 22nd floors, which is different from cargo elevators for sale.

2. Choice of load capacity

Overloading is a prohibited thing for home elevators. The load capacity of the elevator is the maximum weight that the elevator transports. The choice of this parameter directly limits the maximum service capacity of the elevator. For high-rise residential buildings and apartments, it should be more than 13 people; for office buildings, it should be more than 18 people; for large shopping malls, it should be more than 21 people.

3. Key parameters should be marked

In the bidding documents for home elevator purchase, in addition to the above main parameters, the following parameters should also be clear:

The civil engineering requirements of the elevator, including the layout, the location of the machine room, the size of the hall door and the decoration of the car.

The description of the use of the elevator, including the stop layer, itinerary and service floor.

The elevator rated parameters, including rated speed, load, operating system, control system and leveling accuracy.

The elevator power requirements.

The lighting requirements.

The communication requirements.

4. Installation is strictly required

The quality of the installation project directly determines whether the home elevator can operate normally. Smart elevator should be taken into consideration. Elevator industry experts said: "The quality of the elevators with good manufacturing quality is not good enough to work properly. Good installation quality can often make up for or improve some of the shortcomings in elevator manufacturing."
